FINAL
PETER WRIGHT v ANDREW GILDING 4-3
Peter Wright continued his winning ways to become THE 2009 DANIEL-GREEN GRAND PRIX CHAMPION and collect the £700-00 1st prize in this year’s event. It was the first time in 7 years that the Number 1 seed has become successful and win the title. The event had seen in week 1 the 1st 9 dart leg in the event and in the deciding leg we nearly saw the second as Wright scored 180-180 treble 20 treble 19 and hit a single 12 instead of the double. Two darts later the game was over. Andrew Gilding received £350-00 for his part in a very entertaining final. This was Gilding’s 1st year in the tournament and after winning the Saxmundham and Leiston event a few weeks ago is surely one to watch in the future.
Wayne Hammond £50 won the 100% final against Robert Warman £30 by 3-1.
M0st 180’s was won by Kevin Harris with 25 (£20) Highest Finish was by Peter Wright 167 (£30)
The event will remain at THE BRIDGEWARD SOCIAL CLUB in 2010 with dates to follow later in the year.
Regards
Ann & Peter
