The Johnny Woodman Memorial Trophy:

The 5th Johnny Woodman classic ranking singles event takes place at the Entertainer on Saturday 22nd May.

Previous winners include Nillson Pritchard, Dennis Murrell, Paul Hogan and Ali MacDonald and another high class field looks certain to turn out to remember ‘jovial John’.

Chunky a former kerb-layer was the epitome of the player who plays for fun, a top class player of his era remembered for his sportsmanship, flat cap and his love for a pint.

Entry fee £7 per player, winner £300 with prize money paid to the last 8.

Entries taken on the day up to 11.30 and players toe the oche at 12.15.
